Job Duties
Provides services and accommodations to students who are Deaf or Hard hearing: arranges for accommodations including interpreters, real time captionists, and note takers; coordinates these services with the student and their instructors; develops a recruiting program for students who are Deaf or Hard of hearing; recruits, hires and supervises qualified interpreters and real time captionists.  May provide services and accommodations to students with disabilities such as learning disabilities, ADHD, psychological disabilities, physical/mobility disabilities, and medical disabilities.  Department is willing to work with incumbent in developing the necessary skills for this position.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in psychology, special education, social work, counseling psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or equivalent; a minimum of three years experience working with adults who are Deaf or have disabilities; the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups; and writing and organizational skills.  Knowledge of the American's With Disabilities Act (ADA).

Preferences
Emphasis in the field of deafness; Interpreter certification or equivalent experience; Master's degree; experience administering or interpreting psychoeducational testing.  Preference given for experience with other disabilities.

Work Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Department is willing to work with incumbent in developing the necessary skills for this position.

Salary will commensurate with experience, not to exceed $36,000.00.
