I am planning to send my monthly membership report by tomorrow (I will not be able to participate in the conference call because I will be on a flight to Hawaii for my vacation).

Dear Disability Service Provider in Louisiana:

My name is Tracey Forman and I am currently the Communications/Membership Director of Association on Higher Education And Disability (AHEAD) in Texas.  AHEAD in Texas (http://ahead.org/affiliates/texas) is a non-profit, 501c3 association consisting primarily of disability service providers in higher education.

Since Louisiana does not currently have a state-level AHEAD organization, AHEAD in Texas would like to invite you to join our organization so that you can network with other colleagues and participate in our state and regional conferences at a discounted rate.  We already have a few members that are based in New Mexico and Louisiana, but wanted to formally extend out invitation to all potential members in Louisiana.    We would also be willing to help Louisiana develop your own state-level AHEAD organization in the future, if there is an interest.

If you did not already know the AHEAD International Conference (http://ahead.org/conferences/2012) is being held in New Orleans in July 2012.  This will also provide a wonderful opportunity for Louisiana disability service providers to network with each other and to explore the possibility of developing a state-level organization in the future.
