[Past-presidents] 35th Anniversary Celebration at Conference

Hi everyone...  hope all are well... and I hope many of you are planning
to attend the conference in New Orleans!

 

What have I gotten myself into now --- well, as you can see from the
headline above, it is our 35th Anniversary this year.  Part of our
celebration and retrospective will include pictures of the past.....
There are a few that I own which cannot be published by legal orders and
"gag orders" ...  yes, there is one of Warren King in a bathtub which
cannot be shown!...  and Bruce may not show any of my photos when I had
ringlets!...but I am sure you all have a memory book somewhere and would
like to have your photos displayed for all to see at conference and for
a "35th Anniversary Visit" on the website after conference.

 

Tri Do has offered to accept the scans of any pictures you can muster,
and he and I will work on the presentation of the slide shows shown at
various times throughout the week.  Amy King, Conference Chair, will
also be assisting us in determining just what are the plans for
inclusion in the conference.

 

But for right now.... Start to look in that trunk of yours... in those
photo albums..... under the mattress....  Put away that AARP card and
start to search..... the more photos we send in, the better the
presentations!  I know that many of you were doing a similar project 10
years ago when we were producing the calendar/poster for the 25th... and
wasn't there a "History of AHSSPPE and AHEAD" being planned for a
mid-west museum?  Rich and Pat and Warren were among the suspects for
that project!

 

I am asking that you send the scanned photos to Tri by the end of May...
and that will give us time to produce a great document.

 

I have realized that we all give a lifetime commitment to AHEAD ---- or
is it that we have a Lifetime Membership??????   Time to pay up for that
privilege ....  And thanks very much....
