[Kan-ahead] Technical School Questions

Needing some input from those of you with Technical Centers attached to your college...


1)    What software do you use for Tech. placement testing (if anything)?



2)    Do you use WorkKeys and if so, what is its purpose at your institution?


3)    Our only academic requirement to get into a tech program is a certain reading score (we use Accuplacer). Do you have any options for those individuals who don't meet a particular academic standard? Do you tutor them until they are able to meet the required level?

(In our situation, we have folks with an MR/DD diagnosis that could probably complete the tech course work, but who cannot, and may never be able to, meet an attached academic standard.)

      4) Also wondering...if you're a CC + Tech...are your disability services separate or under a central                     administration?
